Dr. Caruso started in engineering, earning his degree at Clemson University before turning to medicine. That background is not a footnote. Oral surgery is millimeter work, and the way he approaches a case, planning it out, accounting for every variable before he begins, comes straight from how an engineer thinks.
From Clemson, he went to dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top dental programs in the country, and then completed his surgical residency at Broward Health Medical Center in South Florida. His surgical background also includes corrective jaw, or orthognathic, surgery.
