Tooth Extraction in Peachtree City, GA. Done Right, With a Plan for What Comes After.

Comfortable, surgeon-performed extractions, including impacted teeth, urgent situations, and complex cases, with sedation if you want it.

Sometimes the best Move is a clean removal

Our goal is never to pull a tooth that can be saved. When it cannot be saved, getting it out correctly, and planning what happens next, matters.

Common reasons Dr. Anderson removes teeth:

Severe decay

The tooth is too far gone for a crown or root canal.

Fracture

A crack below the gumline that cannot be repaired.

Active Infection

Spreading infection that puts surrounding bone and neighboring teeth at risk.

Impacted Teeth

A tooth trapped in the jaw or gum that cannot erupt on its own.

Failed Root Canal

The tooth was treated and will not heal.

Preparing For a Dental Implant

A compromised tooth must come out before a dental implant can go in.

Not every tooth extraction is the same.

Simple extraction is used when the tooth is fully visible above the gumline. Dr. Anderson loosens it and removes it. Many patients are surprised by how quick it is.

Surgical extraction is needed when a tooth is broken below the gumline, partially erupted, or trapped in the bone.

Any tooth can become impacted, not just wisdom teeth.

Impacted canines are one of the most common. These are the pointed teeth on either side of your front four. When they get trapped, they press on neighboring teeth and cause damage that gets worse over time.

Impacted teeth can damage surrounding bone, gum tissue, and adjacent teeth

X-rays can identify them early, sometimes as young as age seven

Dr. Anderson treats impacted canines and other non-wisdom impactions in Peachtree City

For wisdom teeth specifically,

Volume and training make a Real difference.

Many general dentists do simple extractions, and for straightforward cases that is fine. The harder ones get referred to us

Dr. Anderson trained in general surgery alongside physicians as well as dentists, and holds both a dental and a medical degree (DMD, MD). That medical background matters when a patient has a complex health history or needs IV sedation.

He has handled cases with curved roots, dense bone, teeth that fracture mid-procedure, and patients with complex medical histories

He is the surgeon other dentists call when something unexpected comes up

He has years of surgical training for head and neck trauma and abnormalities

Sedation keeps you comfortable, no matter how anxious you feel.

Many people put off necessary tooth extractions because of anxiety. Pain builds, infection can spread, and a simple extraction becomes a bigger one. You do not have to wait.

General anesthesia

You are fully asleep. Best for complex cases, anxious patients, or multiple extractions.

IV sedation

You are deeply relaxed and unlikely to remember the procedure.

Nitrous oxide

Relaxed while staying awake, wears off quickly.

Local anesthesia only

Numbs the area completely.

During your All-On-X procedure and in severe cases, a dedicated CRNA manages your sedation and anesthesia while Dr. Anderson focuses entirely on surgery, two providers, each with one job. We go over the right option at your consultation.

Severe pain, facial swelling, or signs of infection cannot wait.

Dental infections can spread into the jaw, neck, and beyond. If you are in that situation right now, call us.

We do our best to see urgent cases quickly. The earlier you call, the simpler the solution.

Losing a tooth does not Have to mean losing it Permanently.

When a tooth comes out, the bone that surrounded the root begins to shrink. That affects your ability to place a dental implant later and changes the shape of your face over time.
That is why we discuss socket preservation at the time of extraction. Bone grafting material placed in the open space where the tooth was protects the bone while you heal. It is a small step at the right moment that makes a real difference later.

Your options for replacing the tooth include:

A dental implant

The most complete long-term solution

An implant-supported overdenture

If multiple teeth are missing

All-on-X

If you are replacing a full arch

In some cases, a dental implant can be placed the same day as the extraction, which shortens the overall timeline.

Most extractions heal without trouble. Here is what to watch for.

You will have some soreness for a few days. Swelling is normal. Rest, soft foods, and the written instructions we send home with you do most of the work.

One thing worth knowing dry socket.

Dry socket happens when the blood clot that forms where the tooth was is disturbed before healing is complete.

Signs to watch for:

If you think you have dry socket, call us. One of our surgeons will treat it quickly.

Dr. Anderson is an outstanding dental surgeon. Beside manner is terrific but what counts is his skill and experience. If you’re going to an oral surgeon you’re probably having a procedure well beyond normal dentistry. You’re in competent hands with Dr. Anderson. Staff iss terrific as well.

Will it hurt?

During the procedure, no. We use local anesthesia on every patient, plus whatever sedation you choose. You will feel pressure but not sharp pain. Some soreness after is normal and responds to common pain relievers.
