Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implants and Oral Surgery

Subhead: Real patients ask us the same questions every week. Here are the most common answers. If yours isn’t here, the free consultation is the right next step.

Dental Implants and All-on-X

Am I too old for dental implants?
Age alone does not disqualify you. What matters is your overall health and bone, which we assess with a 3D scan. Many of our patients are in their 60s, 70s, and beyond, and they do very well.
Probably not. Bone grafting can rebuild the foundation, and for severe bone loss, specialized dental implants that anchor into the cheekbone instead of the jaw are an option. Bone loss rarely disqualifies you.
With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. The teeth attached on top may need to be refreshed over time, but the dental implant itself acts as a permanent root.
Yes, for qualifying patients. Dr. Anderson removes any failing teeth, places your dental implants, and attaches a full set of fixed teeth all in one visit. You have a functional smile from the moment you leave. Over the following months, as your dental implants integrate, we fine-tune your new teeth until they look and feel exactly right.
Come in anyway. Many of our patients were told no by another office. Dr. Anderson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a medical doctor with decades of complex-case experience. Cases that look difficult on paper are often solvable here.

Anesthesia and Comfort

Will I be asleep during surgery?
For dental implant procedures, yes. We use general anesthesia and IV sedation, delivered the same way a hospital would. For All-On-X procedures, a dedicated CRNA (a dedicated anesthesia professional) monitors your sedation throughout while Dr. Anderson focuses entirely on surgery. You sleep through it, comfortable and pain-free.
Yes. Dr. Anderson is board-certified by the National Board of Dental Anesthesia, trained for six months in an operating room under supervising anesthesiologists, and is a medical doctor trained to manage complex medical situations. That means if anything unexpected comes up, he is trained to handle it, the same way a hospital would. He has performed more than 40,000 anesthesia and sedation cases.
You are not alone. Many patients have avoided care for years because of fear. Because you sleep under general anesthesia, there is nothing to feel, hear, or remember. Tell us at your consultation and we will walk you through exactly what to expect.

Cost and Financing

How much does All-on-X cost per month?

All-on-X dental implants start at around $299/month through our financing partners (CareCredit, LendingClub and Sunbit). Jennifer walks through your specific options at no cost during the consultation.

Additional costs may apply for sinus lifts, sedation, or dental implant treatment beyond your recommended plan.

Yes. We work with multiple financing partners to fit different credit situations. You do not need perfect credit, and many patients are approved at the consultation. All options are laid out before you decide.

Your treatment plan will specify exactly what is included. Generally, All-on-X pricing covers the consultation, 3D imaging, dental implant placement, same-day fixed teeth, and your permanent final set of teeth. We share the complete breakdown at your consultation, with no surprises.

Additional costs may apply for sinus lifts, sedation, or dental implant treatment beyond your recommended plan.

The Process

How long does the whole process take?
Surgery is a single visit, and you leave that day with a full set of fixed teeth. Over the following months your dental implants integrate, and we keep perfecting your smile with in-house aftercare visits until everything looks and feels right.
Dr. Anderson or a member of his clinical team listens to your concerns, examines your mouth, and takes a 3D scan as part of the visit. Then we walk you through your treatment options, timeline, and monthly payment options, with no pressure and no obligation.
Many patients go home the same day and spend 24 to 48 hours resting. Soft foods for the first couple of weeks, with swelling and mild soreness managed by medications we prescribe. Dr. Anderson follows up personally after surgery and continues to see you through the months ahead.
You leave surgery with working fixed teeth and can eat soft foods that day. Many patients progress to a broader diet within a few weeks. Once your dental implants are fully perfected, eating feels like having your own teeth again. “For the first time after three years I was able to eat salad again and corn on the cob.” — Sabina, All-on-X patient
